Edge vs. ‘Demon’ Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 on Sunday night.
They went for weapons right away and Edge got the better of him with a chair before Balor fired away with a kendo stick. After brawling on the floor, Edge hit a DDT in the ring. Edge went for a spear and Balor hit the sling blade then drop kicked Edge into the cell. Balor drop kicked Edge through a table. Balor tossed a series of chairs at Edge on the ground. Edge went for a spear, but Balor kicked him. Edge hit the killswitch at one point before he hit him with a ladder, which busted open Balor. After a brief pause, they went back to work. Edge went for a spear, but Balor moved and ate the ladder. Balor with the double foot stomp for a near fall. Edge with a DDT off the ladder for 2. Balor climbed part of the cell and went for a dive, but crashed and burned through a table. Balor with a spear for the win. Edge with a series of chair shots. Edge went over with the con-chair-to.
