Carmella has disappeared from WWE television and was pulled from a match at WrestleMania 39 this weekend.
Carmella was slated to team with Chelsea Green in the four-way women’s tag team match at the show against Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan, Natalya & Shotzi, and Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler.
However, on Monday’s episode of Raw, it was announced in a backstage segment with Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, and Green that Deville would team with Green in the match instead. There was no mention of Carmella in the segment.
Although she hasn’t worked a match since March 12 at a live event, she will be in town for WrestleMania.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that a source indicated to them that “ Carmella had been ‘sidelined,’ but didn’t indicate why.” When asking about some rumors that had been going around regarding her having heat, they were dismissed, with sources calling the rumors “ridiculous.”
As of Tuesday, the WWE star was slated to be in Los Angeles all throughout WrestleMania week as she’s set to make appearances at a Make A Wish event and a Be A Star Rally. She was also with Bobby Lashley, IYO Sky at the Dodgers vs. Angels game.
We hope it’s not a serious issue that is keeping Carmella on the sidelines and look forward to seeing her back in the ring.
