For several weeks, WWE had been on an impressive streak of consecutive television sell-outs.
On fire
This comes at a time when WWE’s business has been on fire whether that be attendance, merchandise sales, total revenue, gates, and more. The company is making more money than ever thanks to big money media rights deals for its TV programs and the WWE Network that includes its monthly premium live events.
For the past eight weeks, WWE has sold out Raw and SmackDown events. While WWE claimed Monday’s episode of Raw was WWE’s ninth consecutive television sell-out, that’s not the case.
Streak
WrestleTix, which does a great job of tracking ticket sales for all pro wrestling events, responded to someone on Twitter noting that there were still 200 tickets available when the map closed, indicating it wasn’t a sellout.
However, WWE still had a packed crowd for a stacked show that drew a great number of fans. WWE has already confirmed that CM Punk will appear, Ricochet vs. JD McDonagh, Andrade will be in action, and Ivy Nile vs. Candice LeRae will be in action for next week’s Raw.
Unfortunately not. It was close. Map closed with over 200 tickets available, many of which were $20 uppers. Anything released late (like hard cam seats) doesn't count against them but standard tickets do. Still a packed house and a great number
