Following the announcement by Drew McIntyre that he is not medically cleared to compete, WWE’s biggest star, Roman Reigns, is also on the sidelines with an injury. Oddly enough, both stars are out with the same injury.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided updates on Reigns and McIntyre.
Meltzer wrote: “Both Reigns and McIntyre are out of action for right now due to suffering ruptured eardrums at Survivor Series. It’s a short-term thing, and both should be back soon.”
Reigns is not advertised for the post-Christmas tour that starts on December 26, while McIntyre is expected back for those shows. The first night of the tour starts at Madison Square Garden.
McIntyre was hurt at Survivor Series but kept working through the December 4 house show in Portland, ME, as he didn’t realize he was hurt that bad until he was examined after that show.
Reigns wasn’t on Monday’s episode of Raw as he was reportedly in Los Angeles with his special counsel, Paul Heyman.
