A Familiar Name Was On Commentary For WWE LFG Taping

At Tuesday’s WWE NXT show from the Performance Center, WWE taped a match for the upcoming WWE LFG show. This is where Elijah Holyfield worked his first match. The former NFL player and son of the legendary fighter Evander Holyfield was signed by WWE less than a month ago. For more on that, click here.

The show is about aspiring pro wrestlers competing for a WWE contract while receiving guidance from iconic legends such as Triple H, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels. The title LFG stands for “Legends & Future Greats” and will follow a format similar to that of Tough Enough.

Contestants will undergo training, participate in weekly matches, and learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of the wrestling business. Celebrated stars, including Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley, will provide mentorship.

PWInsider.com reports that Alicia Taylor was the ring announcer for the match. Vic Joseph and Jeremy Borash were at the commentary table. Borash has worked behind-the-scenes in WWE for the last few years. Borash’s current title in WWE is Senior Director of Content and Development, working directly with Shawn Michaels on the NXT brand.

Before joining WWE, Borash worked for TNA from 2002 through 2018, where he served as a backstage interviewer and play-by-play commentator and had roles behind the scenes.
