Another WWE Hall Of Famer has turned down an invitation to appear on the big Raw Reunion special on Monday night.
There were questions on why Bret Hart was not advertised for the show but Dave Meltzer reported that Hart was invited but he declined to go. No word on why he declined.
It’s worth noting that Hart has trouble moving around these days after beating prostate cancer and getting his hip replaced so he doesn’t to a ton of appearances per year. He did appear at AEW Double Or Nothing for the World Title unveiling but that was easy for him to do since he was already in town for Starrcast II.
Hart, Jim Ross and Bully Ray are the names that were invited but declined to appear. In Ross’ case, he says Vince McMahon reached out to him and he politely turned down the invitation. No word on why but Ross noted that AEW co-founder Tony Khan told him that the decision was up to him. Bully Ray works for Ring Of Honor so that might be why he declined. Bully’s former tag team partner D’Von Dudley works behind the scenes for WWE and will be appearing at Raw Reunion.
Among the names advertised for Raw Reunion are Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Over 35 names from the past will be on the show.
For those of you that have asked about John Cena, click here for his status for Raw Reunion and click here for news on why The Rock is unlikely to appear at Raw Reunion.
It will be interesting to see what kind of rating they can pull in on Monday night and it will be interesting to see how many lapsed fans decide to tune after this Monday.
