Those of you who watched WWE Raw last night may have heard the controversial line said by Carlito during his backstage segment with Adam Pearce.
As seen below, Carlito walked in the room just as IYO SKY and Kairi Sane were leaving and Carlito said, “I gotta learn Chinese.” Both IYO and Kairi are Japanese and IYO has dealt with racist “go back to China” comments in the past.
Fightful Select reports that the claim internally from at least one staff member is that it was an unscripted line. There were said to be a number of people in the company who were not happy that it happened. At this time, there’s no word on if there’s any action going to be taken or if there’s any heat on anyone for the line.
