Absent WWE Star Expected To Be At Tonight’s Raw

Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw from the historic Madison Square Garden is set to be one of the biggest of the year, and the backstage area is reportedly loaded with major stars. John Cena is scheduled for his final-ever appearance on the red brand, but several other top names are also in New York City.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Brock Lesnar flew into the area privately on Sunday night and is expected to be at Madison Square Garden for tonight’s show.

Lesnar is reportedly not the only former World Champion backstage. PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed that Drew McIntyre is also at the venue. Furthermore, sources indicated to Bodyslam.net that Roman Reigns, AJ Lee, and Liv Morgan are all expected to be backstage for the show as well.

It is currently unknown if Lesnar, McIntyre, Reigns, Lee, or Morgan will appear on the program. Their presence is notable as all have been off WWE television. McIntyre was previously written off TV with a storyline suspension, while Liv Morgan has been recovering from shoulder surgery she underwent in June. Roman Reigns and AJ Lee have not been seen since their respective matches at Crown Jewel and Wrestlepalooza.

The “Last Time is Now” tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent continues tonight, with Solo Sikoa set to face a “mystery opponent,” a spot that has already produced a surprise return from Zack Ryder on last week’s SmackDown. A former World Champion may be revealed as Solo’s opponent.

Also scheduled for the broadcast is GUNTHER’s return to action against Je’Von Evans, Becky Lynch defending her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri, and Nikki Bella explaining her recent attack on Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
