Former WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu is expected to make his return to WWE television imminently, according to a new report. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer simply stated, “Jacob Fatu will be back imminently.” Although Fatu had a breakout first half of 2025, he has been largely absent from WWE programming since his loss to Solo Sikoa at the SummerSlam premium live event in early August.
Fatu’s year started with a career-defining victory over LA Knight at WrestleMania, where he captured the United States Championship. His momentum continued to build, and he became a fan favorite at the Money in the Bank event when he turned babyface by breaking away from Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline faction.
However, his fortunes changed at Night of Champions, where he lost the championship back to Sikoa following interference from a new member of The Bloodline, Tala Tonga. After failing to regain the title from Sikoa in a steel cage match at SummerSlam, Fatu disappeared from television, only competing in a few dark matches after SmackDown events in the weeks since.
Before ever signing with WWE in 2024, Jacob Fatu made a name for himself on the independent circuit and MLW, where he held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for a record-setting 819 days. It’s unclear what WWE has planned for Fatu when he returns to television.
