Absent WWE Star Is Returning To In-Ring Action Soon

WWE has announced the match lineups for its upcoming Supershow tour of Japan, and the cards are loaded. The company will hold two events at the iconic Ryƍgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18.

The announced lineups, revealed on the Japanese broadcast of WWE SmackDown, feature the in-ring return of Shinsuke Nakamura, who will compete for the first time since June. The tour also includes a World Heavyweight Championship match and several bouts featuring some of WWE’s biggest names.

The tour will be a homecoming for Shinsuke Nakamura, who became a top star during his legendary career in NJPW before signing with WWE. Nakamura is a former three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, a five-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, and the winner of both the G1 Climax and the New Japan Cup. On the first night of the tour, he will team with Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

On night two, he will be part of a six-man tag team main event, as he teams with CM Punk and Jey Uso to face the trio of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his Vision stablemates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line on night one, as Seth Rollins is set to defend his title against CM Punk. The feud between Rollins and Punk has been one of the most personal rivalries in WWE over the last year. The women’s division is also heavily featured on the tour.

On night one, the newly crowned Women’s United States Champion, Giulia, will defend her title in a triple threat match against Iyo Sky and the returning Kairi Sane’s former tag team partner, Asuka. On night two, Giulia will have another title defense, this time going one-on-one with Kairi Sane, who will have Asuka in her corner.

Also on the second night, Iyo Sky will team with Rhea Ripley to take on the duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
