Fans have been wondering when Carmella will make a return to WWE television after going on a hiatus as she and Corey Graves welcomed their first child into the world together in 2023.
That day may never come. PWN Reports first reported that Carmella’s WWE contract has expired. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select recently confirmed the news.

The couple previously dealt with miscarriage, as Carmella had battled depression after dealing with an ectopic pregnancy. While appearing on the Nikki & Brie Show in May 2024, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion noted that she misses the fans, but she’s dealing with drop foot, an injury she suffered while giving birth.
While with WWE, she won the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match before cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to defeat Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She later won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Queen Zelina and was paired with R-Truth as a comedy act.
