Last month WWE reinstated Hulk Hogan into their Hall Of Fame.
Several years ago “The Hulkster” had some racially insensitive comments he made leak out when a sex tape of his released online. He was subsequently fired from WWE and removed from the Hall Of Fame. Last month, before WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV, Hogan was reinstated after issuing an apology to the entire locker room.
Now that Hogan is back in the WWE fold, the question remains, what will his role with the company be moving forward?
IMPACT Wrestling star, Abyss, who has worked with Hogan in the past, recently offered his thoughts on Hogan’s reinstatement in an interview with Wrestling Epicenter. Abyss said that he’s “thrilled” to see Hogan back in the Hall Of Fame:
“I’m thrilled about it. I’m so happy for him. I know how much it means for him to be back in the Hall of Fame. I got to know him really, really well when Hulk was working for Impact Wrestling. We became close, we became friends.
“We still talk. A lot of the things that happened were unfortunate. A lot of the things that happened were not good. I think he was truly apologetic. I think he truly feels sorry about it.
“I think he’s taken his rightful place back in the WWE Hall of Fame and back in wrestling history. I think that means more to him than anything in the world.”
