Adam Cole apologizes for getting heated during interview with Pat McAfee

Adam Cole has broken his silence on an interesting situation a few days ago during an interview on Pat McAffee’s sports talk show.

Last Thursday, Cole got heated after McAfee, a former punter for the Indianapolis Colts and NXT analyst, took some jabs at him.

This led to Cole pushing over the microphone before getting up and yelling at McAfee. They exchanged some F-bombs in the process. Cole also pushed McAfee’s co-host Ty Schmit before storming off the set. You can watch the incident here.

Some fans think this was a work while others think that it was real. Either way, Cole took to his official Twitter account where he issued the following statement:

“I’ve had the weekend to think about everything, and it’s still hard to put into words where to begin. First of all, to anyone that I offended, I apologize. I apologize because I represent a brand that commands respect. Not just because of what we do in the ring, but how we handle ourselves outside of the ring. Even though he continued to push my buttons, I still should have kept my composure and acted like a professional. I’m embarrassed by my reaction, and I will make sure something like that never happens again. Thanks for the continued support everyone.”
