NXT Champion Adam Cole has made it clear that he wants to remain a part of NXT instead of the traditional main roster call up to Raw or SmackDown.
Since WWE moved NXT to the USA Network, many people believe the phrase of being called up from NXT to the main roster is over because NXT is now being considered the third brand of the company.
WWE has taken that path as NXT talent is now feuding with Raw and SmackDown talent heading into Survivor Series.
Cole told the Metro that for him personally, he wants to stay in NXT but can’t speak for his fellow Undisputed Era members.
“Eventually there’s the thought process of maybe the Undisputed Era would like to take our body of work and go to RAW or SmackDown. I don’t wanna speak for them, but personally I’ve never been more adamant about wanting to stay part of NXT than I am right now.”
“I hope so badly that me and the rest of the guys are here for a long time. We generally get the vibe that they [WWE officials] love that we’re so passionate about this place. One of the coolest things about this place is everyone who works here is so pumped to be part of NXT. I think WWE really appreciates that.”
