Adam Cole on possible retirement match against Triple H: “I wouldn’t pass that up for the world”

WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole recently did an interview with Steel Chair magazine where he spoke about a wide range of topics.

During the interview, he was asked about working with Triple H, who oversees the NXT brand, and whether he would be interested in potentially retiring “The Game.”

According to Cole, he wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to not only wrestle the former WWE Champion but also do it in a match where his in-ring career was on the line.

“Anybody on our roster would agree. We all idolized Triple H or Shawn Michaels as kids, and now we’ve grown up, we’re working together with them. We’re really getting to see their minds and not only how smart they are, but how much they absolutely love this job.

I wouldn’t pass that up for the world, that absolutely is something that I would love to do. I know many NXT talents feel the same way, and I definitely know a bunch of fans would love it.”

As seen at Sunday’s WWE NXT TakeOver: Portland event from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on the WWE Network, Cole made his latest title defense in the headliner over Tommaso Ciampa.
