Adam Cole talks Otis potentially going after his NXT Championship

NXT Champion and leader of Undisputed Era Adam Cole recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump. The longest reigning NXT Champion in history appeared on the show to discuss a number of topics surrounding RAW, SmackDown and the landscape of NXT.

One of the points raised was new Mr Money In The Bank: Otis. Cole was asked on the show if he had considered that the new contract holder could be looking at a shot at the NXT Champion.

The Money In The Bank winner of course gets to pick and choose their opponent at any time. Traditionally, it is the WWE or Universal titles that the contract holder goes for, but with NXT now being more prominent within WWE? Otis might want a shot at that Championship.

“I have thought about it” Cole began discussing the threat of Otis cashing in on him. “Because of exactly what you just said. Anything can happen in the WWE I think at this point. Whether you’re from RAW, Smackdown or NXT I think people look at me as one of the most dominant champions in modern history.”

Cole would elaborate on this point further, saying “I mean look the records I’ve broken. the people I’ve beaten! So, very much so. I could see someone like Otis maybe deciding to challenge me for my NXT championship. I think that’d be a giant mistake and I think he would instantly regret that decision, but I’m always ready to go.”

Adam Cole (bay bay) would also refer to his Undisputed Era stablemates as a reason why Otis would be foolish to try and cash in on him. “And that’s why I got my boys with me: Bobby, Kyle and Roddy, they let me know what’s going on. So, yeah, I’m ready for anything man, ready for anything.”
