The NXT Championship will be defended this Sunday at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view.
WWE announced today that the challenger for Cole's title will be decided tomorrow night on NXT on USA. It will be Pete Dunne, Killian Dain and Damian Priest wrestling in a Triple Threat Match to determine the number 1 contender. The winner will face Cole this Sunday night at the pay-per-view.
Dunne and Dain were supposed to wrestle last week on NXT TV but Dain was attacked as he was making his entrance to the ring. That is when things broke out into a brawl with Priest taking out Dunne and Dain.
Cole will have a lot on his plate this week. In addition to his match at Survivor Series, he will also be in one of the main matches on the night before the pay-per-view. At NXT TakeOver, he and the rest of The Undisputed Era will compete in the men's WarGames match against Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and a mystery partner. Cole will also wrestle tomorrow night against Dijakovic in a Ladder match. The match will determine which team will get the advantage at WarGames on Saturday night.
The ratings for this week's WWE NXT will be interesting to track because Triple H has said that anyone from Raw and SmackDown is invited to appear and the doors will be open. So, in theory, NXT should have the star power from all of the rosters to help them as they battle AEW Dynamite for a ratings win.
