WWE apparently changed some aspects of Raw during the show because a match was pulled and rescheduled.
It was advertised that Kevin Owens was scheduled to wrestle Ezekiel or Elias or Elrod tonight on Raw in a Men’s Money In The Bank qualifying match. The match didn’t occur as scheduled but Ezekiel did appear backstage in a segment with John Cena.
As of this writing, the match is still listed on the Raw preview page on WWE.com and it was listed in an email that was sent out to fans shortly before they went on the air.
No word on what caused their match to be cut but it could be that they wanted to air more Cena segments ahead of his appearance at 10 pm eastern. As noted earlier, in addition to his backstage segments, WWE also aired clips from Cena’s WWE career and they aired “thank you” videos from WWE Hall Of Famers. Some of those videos included current AEW stars.
