Buddy Matthews Hits Post-Surgery Milestone, Still Battling Numbness
Buddy Matthews shared a significant update on his recovery from surgery in a recent post on his Instagram account. The AEW star revealed he has reached a new milestone in his rehabilitation, though he is still dealing with several lingering issues.
Matthews announced a major step forward in his gym work. “Today was the first time since surgery to hit a hack squat,” he shared. This marks a new phase in his journey back to the ring.
Despite this progress, Matthews noted he is still facing daily challenges with his ankle. He stated he is “still very restricted with ankle mobility but working on it daily!”
He also detailed other symptoms he is managing. “Numbness is still a factor but hopefully subsides in the near future but still unknown at this time,” Matthews wrote. He added that “Swelling depends on the amount of rehab I’ve done that day but easily maintained with Icing post.”
Matthews concluded his update with a positive and patient mindset, writing, “Take each day as it comes!”
