Former WWE star Top Dolla appears to be sticking with professional wrestling but it appears that AEW might not be an option for him.
Top Dolla reportedly rubbed some people the wrong way while he was in NXT and the same thing was said to be happening on the main roster and while he was still there, he may have rubbed some people in AEW the wrong way as well.
Many of you will remember the social media exchanges between Top Dolla and The Young Bucks and Max Caster. At the time, Top Dolla was being talked about as being the star of Hit Row and Vince McMahon wanted to push him as a singles star. Weeks later, B-Fab was released and the rest of the group was released in the next wave of cuts.
During a recent live stream, Sammy Guevara was asked when Top Dolla is coming to AEW and he quickly answered, “Never.”
For what it’s worth, Guevara seemed to be in a joking mood on the stream so his word may not be definitive but he is friends with the people in the company who would have the final decision.
We have heard that there are independent promoters that are interested in booking Top Dolla on their shows but so far, we’ve heard nothing about AEW or Impact Wrestling. That could change once his non-compete expires.
