AEW star Cash Wheeler of FTR has had his legal record from a 2023 arrest completely expunged as of May 2025, according to a report from PWInsider.com.
Florida courts filed an official ruling to wipe Wheeler’s record clean on May 5, 2025. Wheeler was arrested in August 2023 and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm stemming from an alleged road rage incident.
This news officially closes a chapter that had been hanging over the multi-time tag team champion for nearly two years. The report also noted, “There was a lot of sympathy within AEW among talents throughout the entire process for Wheeler.”
Backstage in AEW, the sentiment was that a lot of his “time and money was wasted defending something no one in the company believed he actually did.”
