AJ Lee injured; update on what people in WWE say about her future for 2015

For those wondering what is going on with AJ Lee, she is out of action with an injury. She had been working hurt but continued to work so she could finish up her feud with Nikki Bella. There were plans to do an injury angle to write her off television for a while but that didn’t happen. There’s no word on why they didn’t do the injury angle. The AJ Lee injury is the reason why they put Natalya and Naomi into the Divas title program.

Despite the rumors about AJ’s time in the company being limited, people in the company are saying that she will be back in 2015. She’s obviously in a weird spot since she’s the wife of CM Punk but the company can’t really do anything to punish her. AJ is also the most popular Diva in the company even without the extra exposure that some of the women get from Total Divas.

There has been some negativity from some on AJ because of her link to Punk. One of the things brought up was her Slammy Awards acceptance speech. What she said wasn’t scripted that way and it was taken by some as an “F” off to every woman on the roster except for Paige. There’s also been talk about her taking some time off so she could be at the UFC show in Las Vegas earlier this month with Punk.

AJ was removed from the opening on WWE Main Event a month ago. It was said that her removal from the opening coicided with something that was a “hiccup” with her. I don’t know what the “hiccup” was but that is how it was reported this week in the latest Wrestling Observer. This “hiccup” (whatever it was) happened before the Colt Cabana podcast with CM Punk.
