AJ Styles has finished up his mini-run in WWE NXT.
As seen during last night’s NXT 2.0 broadcast, Styles defeated Grayson Waller, thanks to some help from the returning LA Knight.
After the match, they immediately transitioned Waller back into his feud with Knight. Today, Styles posted an off-air promo he gave to the crowd where he indicated that his time in NXT is done for now but he left the door open for a return at some point.
Styles’ mini-run in NXT has helped the ratings improve and he helped get some eyeballs on Waller, who is seen as someone who could become a player on the main roster someday.
Styles tweeted, “Enjoyed my time at #WWENXT 2.0 greatly. The environment, the talent, and the fans are something special.
Looking forward to seeing some of these Superstars on #WWERaw and #Smackdown and who knows, maybe I’ll be in an @WWENXT ring again!”
