AJ Styles takes issue with fans who rip WWE for being 'essential' and then rip them for releasing people

As noted earlier, AJ Styles expressed unhappiness with wrestlers being released by WWE. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were among the names he mentioned during his Mixer stream.

As seen in the clip below, Styles also takes issue with fans who have complained about WWE being deemed "essential" by the Florida Governor while those same fans bury the company for releasing wrestlers. The issue that many have with WWE is that they let people go while smaller companies like Ring Of Honor are not running shows and they are still paying wrestlers and many businesses around the country have no choice but to lay people off but WWE is financially stable and their TV contracts will help them earn record profits this year. All Elite Wrestling is airing taped shows on TNT and they have not released people. Styles did not mention that WWE is still making hundreds of millions of dollars this year because of their TV contracts and they can afford to keep everyone on board.

Styles said the following:

"With the talk of WWE being essential television - I don't know whether it is or it isn't but I know that I'm glad to be able to entertain. I'm glad I'm still able to do my job, I still want to be able to do that. I don't understand people who complain about it and then go and bury the company for releasing people. You can't have both. We've got to be able to work and if you don't work, your business can't make money so you got to be able to do that. I want to be able to work and I know that there's risks involved and I gotta do whatever I can to make sure I hopefully don't contract the coronavirus. I don't know. It's hard to say but there's so many things going on and so many different things out there on what the coronavirus is. You don't know what to believe any more, you don't know who to trust. It's just so bizarre right now."
