Just a few days after Alberto Del Rio was indicted by a grand jury in Texas for aggravated kidnapping, he has received a trial date.
That date is January 25, 2021, according to court documents acquired by Pwinsider.com.
Back in May, he was arrested and subsequently charged with a second degree sexual assault felony and aggravated kidnapping.
The primary charge is aggravated kidnapping. He is facing one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault, which if found guilty then he could face life in prison.
It’s still unclear whether the four counts of sexual assault will be added to this indictment or there will be another trial for those charges.
As noted, the former WWE star allegedly became enraged when he accused the victim of infidelity and he physically assaulted her. It was alleged that when she wouldn’t admit to the accusation that he “slapped her across the head” several times and “forced her to wear a dress and dance for him.”
Finally, the victim alleged that he threatened to take her son and “drop him in the middle of the road somewhere” if she didn’t do what he said. At the time, the victim had her injuries documented via photographs.
