Following this week’s episode of NXT TV, WWE posted a video showing Aleister Black unconscious in the parking lot.
They did not say who attacked him but The Undisputed Era were seen leaving the area. Johnny Gargano was also spotted entering the backstage area and Heavy Machinery were seen taking photos so this opens several possibilities on who could have attacked him.
For those of you wondering what is going on, this is WWE’s storyline explanation for why Black will not be able to wrestle at Takeover: Brooklyn 4. Black was actually injured a couple of weeks ago at a live event in Las Vegas and he underwent surgery after suffering a groin injury.
There were reports last week suggesting that it was a groin tear but Dave Meltzer reported that it was more serious than that. There’s no word yet on how long he will be out of action.
