Alex Shelley of The Motor City Machine Guns has revealed the acclaimed tag team still hopes to finally lock up with The Hardy Boyz, a dream match that was once scheduled nearly 15 years ago in TNA Wrestling but never materialized. Speaking in a new interview with Metro, Shelley detailed the history.
Reflecting on the missed opportunity, Shelley explained, “It was scheduled once. Maybe 2011, there was a UK tour TNA had booked that match on in particular. And I can’t remember where it was gonna be. It was gonna be somewhere in England.
“And something happened, I can’t remember exactly what, but it never came to fruition. So we’ve somehow managed to evade the Hardy Boyz our entire career, and it’s probably time that we get that match.”
With the ongoing working relationship with WWE and TNA, the possibility of it happening is strong.
