Both Alexa Bliss and Ronda Rousey are preparing for the biggest matches of their WWE careers.
Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will defend her championship against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. The action goes down at SummerSlam on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19th. Bliss and Rousey have had run-ins with one another in the weeks leading up to their match-up at “The Biggest Party Of The Summer.”
Throughout those run-ins, it has looked like Bliss is a bit intimidated by the former mixed martial arts (MMA) star. She recently addressed that notion in an interview with Planeta Wrestling, and explained that she’s not necessarily intimidated by “The Rowdy One”:
“I would not necessarily say that I’m intimidated by Ronda,” Bliss said. “But I will say working with different styles makes us all better performers. You know we have different — I mean I do have a better record than Curt Hawkins, which you know I live for. But honestly, Ronda doesn’t intimidate me all that much because all around, working with different styles makes you a better performer.
“I’ve had matches with Asuka, Charlotte and they’re all different. Ronda coming from such a prestigious background and having such a big name around her, what better person to beat to legitimize my title reign?”
