The release of Bray Wyatt comes as a shock to everyone, including his peers in WWE.
WWE star Alexa Bliss (Lexi Kaufman) took to Twitter to react to the news. She tweeted, “I really am at a loss for words… thank you so much Windham for everything you’ve done for this company. The most fun I’ve had is working with you. Such an amazing talent & the most kind person. I’m just in shock.”
At this point, the circumstances behind Wyatt’s release are not known. It is interesting that Vince McMahon seemingly joked during Thursday’s investor call that more names could be released soon for AEW to pick up.
When asked about AEW’s investment in talent, McMahon said the following: “I’m not so sure what their investments are as far as their talent is concerned, but perhaps we can give them some more.”
Wyatt has many friends in AEW nad it would not be a shock to see him sign with them sooner rather than later and many wrestling companies would be interested in signing him.
