Alexa Bliss says WWE restricted female Superstars in the past, comments on winning SmackDown Women’s Championship

WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss spoke with The Oakland Press about her career and more. During the interview, she was asked about female wrestlers having restrictions in the past in WWE. She said that when she started with WWE a few years ago, it was a different ball game as there was a lot of restrictions on things that they couldn’t do. Now, it’s different and that the women can do whatever they want just like the male Superstars can do. “It gives women the opportunity to show why we're more than divas and why we're WWE superstars."

When asked about winning the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship, she said it was an amazing moment for her as her parents were there, which was their first WWE event. “It was such an amazing moment, especially in this whole era of women empowering and making history."
