Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus set for WWE Evolution pay-per-view

It’s official. As announced by WWE.com, Trish Stratus will be returning at the Evolution pay-per-view and she will be facing Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Bliss might not be the champion by October if she loses the title tomorrow night at SummerSlam and I should note that WWE does not say that Bliss/Stratus is for the title.

Stratus wrestled in the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January but this would be her first featured match since 2011 when she tagged with John Morrison to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero on an episode of Monday Night Raw. She hasn’t wrestled a singles match since a 2011 match with Vickie Guerrero.

WWE Evolution will feature several women’s from the past including Lita and Beth Phoenix but it hasn’t been confirmed if they will be just appearing or wrstling on the show.

The show will also include title matches from every brand including Raw, Smackdown Live, NXT, the NXT UK brand and the finals of the Mae Young Classic. Evolution is set for Sunday, October 28 at 7 pm eastern.
