Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena is set to star alongside Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the new action-comedy “Heads of State,” which premieres this week on Amazon Prime Video.
The film, directed by Ilya Naishuller (“Nobody”), will be released on Wednesday, July 2. Amazon Studios acquired the rights to the film back in October 2020.
The movie’s plot centers on the UK Prime Minister (Elba) and the US President (Cena), who have a public rivalry that threatens their countries’ alliance. When they become the targets of a powerful enemy, they are forced to team up and go on the run. Allied with a brilliant MI6 agent named Noel (Chopra Jonas), they must thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world.
The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, and Sarah Niles.
