American Alpha on possibly working with Kurt Angle, wrestling at their first WrestleMania, more

SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions American Alpha recently spoke with The Sun about various topics. During the interview, they were asked about wrestling at their first WrestleMania. Gable said that he would like to compare it to his Olympic experience and that he didn’t have much time to think and built up to that, but rather he was training for it. He said people would ask him if he was nervous or excited for the Olympics, he would tell them that he doesn’t know and that he is just training. He said that the same thing goes for WrestleMania as once they get there, then it will hit them. He noted that WrestleMania takes over the whole town and is a week-long deal.

Since American Alpha was created in NXT, there has been talk about Kurt Angle possibly working with them as their manager, which is something that he has done in the past with Team Angle in 2002 with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. When asked about possibly working with Angle, Jordan stated that it would be great to work with him and that he has paved the way for amateur wrestlers. “There are all these stories we’ve heard about Kurt Angle – and obviously we’ve gotten some comparisons – but it would be really nice to work hand-in-hand with him, help get our game to the next level. Obviously, he has so much experience that he can put upon us.” Jordan added that it would be great for them to just sit under the tree of knowledge and let him give them pointers. Gable added that maybe they could talk with Angle during WrestleMania 33 weekend and ask a few questions. Gable stated that Angle did the exact path that they’re trying to do right and succeeded in the biggest possible way.
