On Sunday night, The Undertaker appeared to hint at retirement but it looks like The Deadman is not quite done yet.
WrestelVotes is reporting from three different sources that whenever The Undertaker returns, he will be back as the “American Badass” version of himself that fans saw during his Boneyard Match with AJ Styles.
As previously noted, the idea for the match was for Taker to be presented as strong since he wanted to redeem himself from some of the lackluster matches he’s had. The match with Goldberg where he suffered a concussion is the one that sticks out the most.
In the upcoming “Undertaker: The Last Ride” docuseries, Taker will go into detail on his injuries and he acknowledges that he doesn’t have much time left as an active wrestler. At 55 years old, it seems as if the time is near for his retirement. He will celebrate his 30th year in the company this November.
There is no word on when Taker will be back in the ring but he oftentimes wrestles on the Saudi Arabia events and the next one is not until this fall. The Survivor Series will mark his 30th anniversary with the company so expect WWE to do something special to honor him.
