An injury could force a title change on WWE Smackdown Live

WWE has announced the following for Smackdown Live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY:

– AJ Styles will appear to address what went down with Samoa Joe at SummerSlam.
– Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy
– The Bludgeon Brothers will defend the Smackdown Tag Team Titles in a rematch against The New Day. WWE has announced that this will be a no disqualification match.

As noted earlier, Erick Rowan appeared to injure his bicep and he is being evaluated. He was not at the live event on Monday night in Atlantic City. Rowan immediately grabbed his bicep during a dive out of the ring on Sunday at SummerSlam so that appears to be the spot that caused the injury.

The injury could mean that they would have to switch the titles to The New Day and that could be why they announced the no disqualification stipulation. We’ll see how this plays out on Smackdown Live.
