Another championship match announced for the WWE Royal Rumble PPV

The card for the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is beginning to take shape. It was announced on 205 Live that Buddy Murphy will be defending his Cruiserweight Championship.

Murphy will defend the title in a Fatal Four Way Match and the opponents will be determined via qualifying matches in the coming weeks.

Next week’s 205 Live will feature the following qualifying matches:

– Kalisto vs. Lio Rush
– Drew Gulak vs. Akira Tozawa

The January 9th episode will feature the following qualifying match:

– Cedric Alexander vs. Hideo Itami

The winners of the three matches listed above will compete in the Fatal Four Way Championship match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

WWE Universal Championship
Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs. Braun Strowman

Men’s Royal Rumble Match
Participants announced: R-Truth, Drew McIntyre

Women’s Royal Rumble Match
Participants announced: Carmella

Other matches that seem likely for the show but have not been announced yet:

SmackDown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (Champion) vs. Asuka

Raw Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey (Champion) vs. Charlotte Flair

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (Champion) vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD

The 2019 Royal Rumble will emanate from Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.
