WWE is interested in signing Mia Yim, according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Since taking over creative for the main roster, Triple H has brought back several stars such as Johnny Gargano, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross, and more.
Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is interested in having her return as they are attempting to bring back wrestlers whose releases were out of the control of Triple H before he took over creative.
Yim isn’t the only wrestler that WWE wants to bring back. As previously reported, there is significant interest in signing another former WWE wrestler.
In September 2018, WWE signed Yim to a developmental contract after she had a strong performance in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Before then, she made a name for herself in Impact Wrestling.
Yim was mostly used in NXT before having a short main roster run as a member of the Retribution faction under the name ‘Reckoning.’ Once the group split up, Yim was drafted to Raw in the 2021 Draft but was released a few weeks later.
Following her departure last year alongside several other names, Yim has wrestled on the independent scene in Impact Wrestling. She finished her commitments with Impact by losing to Mickie James at Bound for Glory last Friday.
Meltzer speculated that she might attempt to go to AEW since her husband, Keith Lee, currently works there.
