Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden is already set to be a major show, and another top star is reportedly in the building. PWInsiderElite.com can confirm that former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is backstage at tonight’s show.
McIntyre was previously written off television with a storyline suspension. McIntyre’s presence adds to an already lengthy list of big names expected to be at the event. Sources previously indicated to Bodyslam.net that Roman Reigns, AJ Lee, and Liv Morgan are also expected to be backstage for the show.
It is currently unknown if McIntyre, Reigns, Lee, or Morgan will appear on the program, but their presence adds another layer of intrigue to the packed broadcast. Morgan is recovering from shoulder surgery from back in June, while Reigns and Lee have not been on WWE TV since Crown Jewel and Wrestlepalooza, respectively.
WWE often loads up its Madison Square Garden episodes. Tonight’s show will feature the final Raw appearance of John Cena, who is in the midst of his farewell tour. The show will also see the continuation of the “Last Time is Now” tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent, with GUNTHER returning to face Je’Von Evans and Solo Sikoa battling a mystery opponent.
Also scheduled, Becky Lynch is set to defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri, and Nikki Bella will explain her attack on Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
