Another WWE NXT Star Discussed For Main Roster Call-Up

Lola Vice is reportedly under consideration to join the SmackDown brand in the near future. WWE officials have reportedly been impressed with her work in both NXT and AAA recently. Vice signed with WWE in August 2022 after a tryout at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, and she went on to win the NXT Breakout Tournament the following year. If Vice were to be called up, it would likely be to the SmackDown brand, according to a report from Bodyslam.

It’s not clear how soon Vice could find herself on SmackDown. She did express interest in challenging new NXT North American Women’s Champion Izzi Dame during the New Year’s Evil event on January 6, 2026. Furthermore, she still has some unfinished business with Kelani Jordan, with a match between the two already set for next week’s broadcast.

Vice has been active internationally as well, recently partnering with AAA legend Faby Apache for a show in November 2025 and earning a singles victory against Chik Tormenta at AAA Heroes Inmortales 2025. The news regarding Vice comes during a period of significant movement between the brands.

Lash Legend, Jordynne Grace, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams have all been officially called up to the main roster within the past few weeks. NXT General Manager Ava confirmed these moves during the January 7 episode, noting that the departures have opened up room on the NXT roster for new stars to emerge. Additionally, former NXT Champion Oba Femi is clearly on his way to the main roster after relinquishing his title at the end of New Year’s Evil.

While Vice is being discussed for a move, other stars are also in the conversation. Conversations have reportedly taken place regarding whether reigning NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne should be brought up to Raw or SmackDown. Jayne successfully defended her title against Kendal Grey at New Year’s Evil, but remains a name that NXT higher-ups believe has “risen to the occasion” during 2025. Sol Ruca is another star reportedly in line for a call-up, having already established herself across both NXT and the main roster with performances at July’s Evolution Premium Live Event and Friday Night SmackDown.
