Another WWE Return Teased

Nikki Bella made her return to WWE on the June 9th episode of Monday Night Raw and is already campaigning for her sister, Brie Bella, to join her. During her return segment, Nikki was attacked by one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan, immediately setting up a potential storyline.

While Nikki is a decorated singles competitor, she made it clear in an interview with Sports Illustrated that she wants her “tag partner” by her side for this run. Brie is reportedly in talks for a return with an Evolution match being considered.

“That’s definitely what I’m hoping to see. I’m not gonna lie. I mean, I like having my own time, but also, I can’t do it without my tag partner. So, you never know. As we love to say in WWE, you never know what’s gonna happen. It keeps us on our toes, but you just gotta stay tuned. Gotta keep tuning in.”

A primary motivation for a reunion is the one prize that has eluded the WWE Hall of Fame duo: the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The titles were introduced after their full-time careers ended, and a title run would be a new accomplishment for the decorated twins.

Brie’s family ties to AEW complicate the situation, as her husband is the reigning AEW World Champion, Bryan Danielson. Brie has appeared for AEW in the past, most notably celebrating Danielson’s championship win at AEW All In in 2024. For now, fans will have to wait to see if a full Bella Twins reunion is in WWE’s future.
