On Sunday, we wrote about Matt Hardy making the transition to a backstage role as he figures out whether or not he can continue to wrestle after he rehabs his lower back injury. He is basically on a trial run right now and if all goes well then that role could turn into a full-time gig for him. His current deal expires in March.
Another WWE Superstar who has been working backstage of late is Jason Jordan. Dave Meltzer reported last week that Jordan has been shadowing producers since there is no timetable for his return to the ring from his neck issues. PWInsider reported that Jordan was the producer for the Peyton Royce vs. Naomi match on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live.
We’ll see how well he does in the coming week because it looks like Tuesday’s show was the start of a long-term feud between Naomi and The IIconics.
