The big news coming out of WWE SummerSlam is the return of Roman Reigns. As noted earlier, there are really big plans for him. These are the same plans they had for him several months ago when he made the decision to go home. Click here for more on that story.
On the Sunday night edition of the Bryan and Vinny Show on WrestlingObserver.com, Bryan Alvarez says he has heard that another WWE star who hasn’t been on TV for months is scheduled to return soon.
“I don’t have this confirmed but one person did tell me that somebody else who left as a result of the pandemic is also back literally at any time,” Alvarez said. “So I don’t if everybody knows something that I don’t know or what. Maybe the pandemic just ended like 10 minutes ago, I’m not sure but that’s the update.”
Last Tuesday, we reported that there was a lot of talk within the company about Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar returning to TV. The feeling in the company is that the ThunderDome shows are much safer and in addition to the safety measures and testing in place, the chances of an outbreak happening are much lower now that they are in a bigger arena. Many wrestlers did not like working inside of the Performance Center because the building is so small and the chances of an outbreak (which did happen) were very high. Those concerns are alleviated now with the ThunderDome being the new home of WWE for the foreseeable future.
