Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani, formerly known as Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain, announced their new promotion, Wrestling Entertainment Series (WES), earlier this year.

Originally, the inaugural event for their promotion was supposed to take place at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England, on June 4th. However, the show has been postponed to July 9th.

Now with the show days away from taking place, the promotion may have been too ambitious regarding how many fans they can draw.

Journalist Adam Cailler recently noted on Twitter that the show was booked at a 10,000-seat venue but sold only 350 tickets. Selling 350 tickets is a good number for an indy show, but it is disappointing with what AOP was expecting.

“Just been told that this re-arranged show, which still has people advertised on the poster who aren’t coming, and is being held at the 10,000 seater Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham has sold *drum roll*… LESS THAN 350 tickets."

The main event will see Impact Wrestling’s Moose competing in singles action against Alistair Overeem. Several stars have pulled out of the show, such as Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman), Chelsea Green, Lina Fanene (Nia Jax), and Deonna Purrazzo

Jax was initially scheduled to compete against former WWE star CJ Perry (Lana) at the show. However, Perry needs a new opponent. Jax called out the promotion for falsely advertising her for the show.
