Apollo Crews comments on Paul Heyman being removed from WWE creative

Apollo Crews is the latest WWE star to comment on Paul Heyman being removed from WWE creative.

Vince McMahon decided to shake up the creative for the Raw brand as Heyman was removed as the Executive Director of Raw. Bruce Prichard took over the creative lead on both Raw and SmackDown.

At the time, there was some speculation about this move impacting various Raw stars including Crews as Heyman had been high on them and was behind their pushes on television.

The WWE United States Champion did an interview with Newsweek.com where he was asked about the creative change and how that impacts him.

“Since I’ve shown that I’m reliable, and trustworthy it doesn’t necessarily matter too much so that helps me in that sense. I don’t feel like it’s going to work against me. Working with Heyman was fantastic. He was so hands-on with me and he helped me a lot. He was one of the main reasons for me getting this opportunity and I’m very thankful for everything he’s done for me and helped me with. All I could do is look toward the future and I’m looking forward to working with Bruce [Prichard] as well.”

Crews continued by noting that they’re going to make magic together and he’s excited for what’s to come and where he’s at right now. He thinks WWE officials are seeing what he can do after the past few months by taking this latest opportunity and running with it.

He stated that he thinks about past moments in order to keep him humble and hungry as he knows he could be where he was previously.

Crews also talked about his United States Title defense at Extreme Rules and more. You can read the entire interview here.
