John Cena has his next Hollywood gig booked as he’s slated to host the revival of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” on Nickelodeon. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy originally served as the host of the television series when it ran from 2007 to 2015 on Fox.
The news was made when Nickelodeon President Brian Robbins spoke with Variety about the new slate of programming that is set to air on the TV network. One of those shows is this series. As of this writing, Robbins didn’t reveal when the new series will premiere. The show sees adult contestants appear on stage where they answer questions as if they came from an elementary school quiz.
The former WWE Champion continues to grow his brand as an actor in Hollywood while keeping close ties with WWE as he recently did a run with the sports entertainment in late December through early January where he worked several TV and live events.
Cena was originally advertised to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match at the pay-per-view event on January 27, 2019, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona but was later pulled.
