The case involving Nikki Garcia, aka former WWE wrestler Nikki Bella, and her husband, Artem Chigvintsev, is moving forward after Artm was arrested for domestic battery in late August.
Artem had called paramedics to request medical assistance for the alleged victim but then canceled it. The cops showed up, where they noticed obvious injuries on the victim’s body, and they arrested Artem. He was later released on bond. The next day, Nikki reportedly made calls to divorce attorneys as she planned to end their marriage. She has been spotted not wearing her wedding ring.
Artem is not staying at the family home as he has been at a friend’s house. Nikki is living at the couple’s home with their 4-year-old son Matteo.
TMZ reported today that the case is being handed to the district attorney from the Napa County Sheriff. Napa County D.A. Spokesperson Carlos Villatoro stated their office is currently reviewing the case. However, no decision has been made yet on the charges Artem may face.
Chigvintsev’s arraignment is currently scheduled for November 4.
