Asuka has introduced her new puppy to fans on her YouTube channel KanaChanTV, and the dog has a name that needs some explaining.
His name is Big Body Boss, a five-month-old Toy Poodle. Asuka explained the origin on the June 2 episode: when she first saw his photo, she was struck by how small his face was compared to how large his body appeared. “Big Body,” she said, which eventually became Big Body Boss. She also calls him Big Boss, Big Body, and BB, though she admitted she occasionally slips and says “Big Daddy” by mistake.
Asuka described him as energetic and increasingly strong in his bite, but noted he has never barked once since coming to live with her about a week before the video was filmed. “I’ve never heard him say ‘woof,'” she said.
His current obsession is a sock that carries the scent of his siblings, which she received when she took him in. Potty training is ongoing, with Asuka reporting roughly seven accidents out of around 40 attempts. She has found he does better in a crate than in a cage.
The video, which had over 10,000 views on its first day, is available on Asuka’s KanaChanTV channel, where she has 634,000 subscribers.
