Apparently, there were rumors going around online about Austin Aries supposedly “no showing” NXT live events this weekend. Aries has apparently been given some time off and he’s off the weekend house shows. He was not featured on the NXT TV tapings this week but he was backstage. They are promoting a future match between Aries and No Way Jose so it’s possible that footage with Aries was shot backstage at the tapings. It sounds like that match will take place at NXT TakeOver: Back To Brooklyn.
Anyway, Aries shot down some of the rumors going around about him no showing the live events (Note: we don’t know who reported it but it was not reported on this site). He may have been advertised for this weekend’s shows but the cards can always change and that appears to be the case with Aries.
Aries will be back on the road with NXT for the Texas shows in San Antonio (7/28), Robstown (7/29), and Houston (7/30).
