Austin Theory has officially joined forces with Paul Heyman as the newest member of The Vision, a move that was confirmed on the final Monday Night Raw of 2025. In light of this on-screen alliance, Theory recently discussed the impact Heyman has had on his real-life career, revealing a relationship that dates back to his time on the independent circuit.
“I’ve always had a good relationship with Paul,” Theory said. “Back when I was the Evolve Champion, WWE did one of their first shows with Evolve, it was at the ECW Arena. That was the first time I ever met Paul. He ended up doing the ring introduction for me, and that kind of set off that relationship there.”
Theory also credited the “Wiseman” for a pivotal moment during the pandemic era that helped launch his main roster career. “There was another time as well, during the pandemic, I got the opportunity to be on Raw. That opportunity was because of Paul Heyman,” Theory revealed.
With Theory in Heyman’s new faction alongside Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, the former United States Champion expressed his full trust in Heyman’s guidance.
“We’ve always had a great relationship, I think if there’s anybody in this industry that you want looking out for your career, or if you’d like to get some knowledge from a Wiseman, it’s Paul Heyman. I just don’t think he can do any wrong.”
Theory’s allegiance to The Vision was immediately tested on Raw, where he competed in his first singles match since returning, facing Rey Mysterio. Although he lost via disqualification after interference from Logan Paul, the segment ended with a return as Penta arrived to save Mysterio from a post-match beatdown.
