The Authors Of Pain were seen on Raw for the first time in far too long. They just popped up out of nowhere and had business to take care of as usual. The former NXT Tag Team Champions were thought to be highly appropriate to have a rocket strapped to their backs once they were called up to the main roster. However, for whatever reason the were seldom seen and then not seen at all.
Ditching Paul Ellering was an interesting choice but it fell in line with Vince McMahon's rule of no male managers unless you're talking about an advocate. AOP might miss Ellering and his promo skills on the main roster but every bird needs to fly eventually.
AOP faces The Gibson Brothers and it was an absolute squash match. It was no time until they hit The Last Chapter and the beatdown continued after the match. It was great to have them back.
Then Titus Worldwide ran down to save the enhancement talent from a further beatdown. AOP left the ring while eyeing Titus and Apollo down. We can only expect that AOP's first real targets are Titus Worldwide and they'll be a great first feud for the team.
Hopefully, there will be plenty more to come as well because Authors Of Pain can produce incredible matches if they're given the chance.
